Usage Note 41561: PROC OLAP does not utilize the enhanced SPDE options introduced in SAS® 9.2
In SAS 9.2, the SPDE facility enhanced the API for setting SPDE options by providing a SPDEDEBUG option that can be used instead of specifying SPDE parameters to the generic DEBUG SAS system option.
For example, in SAS 9.1.3 and prior releases, if you wanted to set an SPDE debug option, you would specify the debug parameter in the generic DEBUG option as shown below:
options debug='spde:logsasspdd';
|
In SAS 9.2, the SPDEDEBUG option was added for use in setting SPDE debug options directly, like the following:
options spdedebug='logsasspdd';
|
However, in SAS 9.2 PROC OLAP does not utilize the SPDEDEBUG option settings and they will appear to be ignored. Therefore, in SAS 9.2, you must continue to use the SAS 9.1.3 syntax with the SPDE parameter string in order for the DEBUG option to be picked up by PROC OLAP.
